DTGD enjoy life

I decided to make a card for my hubby who LOVES to fish.  I used a brayer on the card to make the sky and lake.  I stamped and then clear heat embossed the images.  I wish I had done them at the same time.  I did the shore first then the boat.  The fishing line doesn't show up very well because I messed up.  I am pretty sure my hubby won't notice or critique.

Stamps: CTMH Relax, PTI Star Prints
Cardstock: misc kraft, SU baja breeze and very vanilla, misc brown
Ink: Memento rich cocoa, black, bamboo leaves, new sprout, SU baja breeze, Versamark
Misc: cuttlebug emboss folder, CM ccs, SU punch, button

  1. Oooh husbands. "Honey, what do you think?" "uh... uhm... hrm... uh... it's nice?"

This is great, I'm horrible at Man Cards. When you say you stamped then clear heat embossed, did you restamp the image with versa mark over top? or did you ink with both the ink and versamark then stamp, then powder? Or something else entirely?

I've always inked with the ink and my "dirty" versamark pad to make the ink essentially craft ink, then powdered and embossed, but I have no idea if that's the best way to do it.

  2. Hey Ruth! Not sure if my way is correct either. I stamp in the Versamark first (to keep it clean) then stamp on the color ink. I then cover with clear emboss powder and heat it up! Thanks for the comment!
