Becky Higgins - Project Life

No card today.  Instead I made cupcakes; devil's food with some mini chocolate chips thrown in the batter topped with white whipped icing.

I did want to show you a picture of what I call "my ride" these days. I also call it my geri chair as in geriatric.

This has been PERFECT for me get around in at home.  I would NEVER go out in public with it.  For that I use crutches, which STINK by the way.

I have decided to jump on the Becky Higgin's Project Life bandwagon since she has gone digital with her kit.  You can check it out here.  It is very easy and I LOVE that it is digital.  It's all on my computer, no need to send off for prints and no paper clutter.

Birthday card

I fell in love with a card on splitcoast stampers, you can see it HERE.

This is my version of the card...

I used SU! Bitty Birthday stamps, kraft and white cardstock with Certainly Celery DSP and ribbon. I also used my SU! scallop circle punch.

I go back to the doc today for new Xrays - hopefully I am healing and can walk SOON!

Baby card

My son's teacher is pregnant so I thought a baby card was in order. I used PTI (Papertrey Ink) Daily Designs and Aqua Mist cardstock, ink and button. The polka dots stamp is by Stampabilities. Kraft cardstock from Hobby Lobby - one of my favorite places to shop!

SO PROUD

Our 3rd grader has brought home good grades 2 quarters in a row - all A's and one B. This card is for him. I used SU! cardstock, DSP and ink. I used CHF (Cornish Heritage Farms) stamps from Kim Hughes collection; Making the Grade and Supah Star. I did a little edge distressing around the navy cardstock.
I just finished reading The Girl with the Dragon Tattoo by Steig Larsson. It is a good mystery/thriller. It is the first book in a series of three. Warning - it did have some very disturbing crimes in it (I could of done without them but oh well!)
Have a great day!

Heart card

Today's card has sewing, yes, SEWING! This is a first for me. Don't look too closely at the stitches - some are messed up but good enough for me! I can't wait to do more sewing on my cards. I used PTI (papertrey ink) cardstock in Raspberry Fizz and Spring Moss with a little DCWV dp. I used SU! stamp set Polka Dot Punches and their heart punch. The sentiment is from Unity. The background stamp is from CHF. I also did a little heat embossing on the heart.

In other news, I WON SOMETHING! Check it out at http://www.writeclickscrapbook.com/. I won Lain's layout a day class challenge for the month of February. So maybe I will post some scrapbook layouts next month! (No promises)

Playin' around

I've been playing around with blogger - this is fun! I did make a card today - I wasn't to happy with it so I didn't take a pic. Hopefully I will turn out a better one tomorrow!

OK so I actually made two cards...

I broke a bone in my foot a while back and have had to make TONS of Thank You notes. We have wonderful friends that have made us dinner - my family is eating better than normal. This card is mostly SU! products; Forest Friends, Thank You Kindly, Good Morning Sunshine dsp and Chocolate Chip ink. The button is from PTI.

I MADE A CARD!

I thought I would FINALLY put something on here. I LOVE coloring with Copic Markers. This card uses PTI cardstock, American Crafts paper, PTI buttons and cute stamps from MFT. Enjoy...
